Private School Network Upgrade

Company: Global Z-Data

After working with the school for many years, I was in a great position to design and implement a full network upgrade. The first item was to get a cabling company in to assess the existing fibre and copper, after which we decided that existing legacy cabling would be replaced. All the school buildings and staff residential houses were linked via fibre. Then new copper points were run from each fibre linked switch to the endpoints and access points. All switches were replaced with a full Ubiquiti Unifi stack which comprised of. 6 x USW-Aggregation-Pro (For the core network that connected all the switches around campus) 90 x USW-48-POE (For all the buildings to feed the endpoints and network devices) 250 x U6-LR Access Points (spread around the campus to ensure full Wifi coverage)
